There are more and more elements inside the bus, this is a problem during installation and having spaces available to install the various servers and control units both on the driver's dashboard and throughout the bus.
Hence the need to standardize on a single server as many systems as possible, be it WiFi, entertainment, Telematics etc…..
The idea is to have a central control unit and a server that controls all these systems.
The ideal would be for the different companies to come to an agreement to integrate their software on a single server, as we have nowadays in our PCs at home or at work with all types of programs, but in the end everything is controlled by Windows or IOS.
This is the way and the need, not to say the satisfaction for the coach manufacturer and for the user to simplify all this.
Today's servers have sufficient capacity to perform these tasks, the problem would come from the willingness of companies to agree. Hopefully the goal will be achieved.
