There are more and more elements within a bus. This poses a problem with installation and the small amount of space to accommodate these servers and controllers. Both in terms of driver operation and the associated space within the bus.
It is therefore necessary to consolidate as many systems as possible in a single server, be it WiFi, entertainment, telematics, etc...
The idea is to have a central controller and server that controls all these systems.
It would be ideal if the different companies could come to an agreement to integrate their software into a single server. Just like in today's home or business PC, where all kinds of programs fit on it, but where ultimately the complete interface is controlled by Windows or iOS.
This is the way and the need, if not to say the fulfillment of the needs for the bus manufacturer and the user to simplify all this.
Today's servers have sufficient capacity to perform these tasks, it's more about the willingness of companies to coordinate with each other. Hopefully this is the right way.
