What to do with high vehicles that want to receive dvb-t channels without fees

As we have mentioned in previous posts, buses traveling long distances and far from urban centers have a problem to receive DVB-T channels. The zones with frequent shadows prevent the reception of the DVB-T signal.

These gray areas are sensitive natural areas that prevent reception of a DVB-T signal. Mainly because they do not have signal boosters that allow receiving the signal as they are not close to urban areas.

There is a solution for this type of vehicle, and that is to install a satellite dish that allows receiving the DVB-T satellite signal. Note that the satellite signal covers 98% of the country, so the range of reception is very large.

In order to receive this type of satellite DVB-T channels, you basically have to integrate a satellite antenna into the bus. There was a particular problem associated with buses over 3.60m in height, as all antennas available on the market were over 35cm in height, making installation impossible.

But now there are already antennas on the market with a smaller height, which are able to work even in areas with a smaller range of satellite reception. Therefore we can say that it is now possible to receive all DVB-T channels on all types of buses, regardless of their height.

In addition to the installation of the satellite antenna, a SAT-DVB-T receiver is also required. Such receivers cannot be bought directly. For this you have to make a request to the public administration, which has to confirm that the SAT-DVB-T solution is the only possible one for the reception of DVB-T channels.

Usually there is no problem in the bus area to get access to such receivers. Because as already mentioned, there is no way to receive DVB-T channels in the numerous gray areas, outside of urban areas.

All companies that usually sell these solutions in the bus industry also offer the opportunity to apply for the appropriate licenses that allow installing such receivers in various buses.
