BSD BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM

Azimut's driving assistance system (BSD) is based on the AI Active Safety System, which detects in real time pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in areas not visible to the driver and at higher risk of accidents, by means of infrared sensors with advanced artificial intelligence both during the day and at night.

BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM

Azimut BSD is a complete driver assistance system that provides real-time information on what is happening in critical areas of large vehicles.

The system identifies pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in a hazardous driving situation, helping the driver to make safe decisions.

THE BSD AZIMUTH SYSTEM CAN BE FULLY CONFIGURED TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE VEHICLE AND DRIVER
.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Azimut's BSD (Blind Spot Detection) is a system based on infrared sensors that determine the position of road users and calculates the time until a potential collision occurs.
  • Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, the system distinguishes between dangerous and non-dangerous situations with great precision.
  • It uses machine learning, artificial neural networks and imaging techniques to detect dangerous situations much earlier than previously possible.
  • It provides the driver with all the information and time needed to maneuver safely.

BSD (BLIND SPOT DETECTION)

Visualize blind spots around the vehicle thanks to cameras located at the rear of the vehicle and enhance driving safety

IN DETAIL

Two zones of action are established, configured taking into account the distance from the vehicle:

  • In zone 1. The system warns the driver of a possible risk by displaying an image with a yellow box around the pedestrian on the screen.

  • In zone 2, the system emits a sound in the driver's cabin, displays a visual warning signal, the object is marked on the camera image with a red box, and a sound is also emitted on the side of the vehicle alerting the pedestrian of the danger.

MANAGE THE SAFETY OF YOUR FLEET WITH THE AZIMUT BUS BRAIN PLATFORM

The AZIMUT BUS BRAIN platform allows to efficiently manage all the information generated by the different safety systems installed in the vehicle, on the routes and in the entire fleet.
The platform is designed to improve service efficiency and enhance on-board safety, according to the real demands of the service in terms of driver behavior.
