Increase passengers thanks to live television.

Increase passengers thanks to live television.

Offering live television is an almost mandatory requirement for companies that are dedicated to performing discretionary and regular line services. Keeping passengers entertained is one of the main objectives and the fact that they can watch their favorite news channels, sports and/or television programs helps to satisfy the service and, in conclusion, to retain customers.

Audiovisual consumption has changed a lot in recent years, as well as the quality of content, but live television is still a very important platform within entertainment systems.

There are two types of television on board coaches and buses, DVBT and satellite.

The DTT channels that arrive through a dvbt receiver are broadcast by terrestrial repeaters like those that reach homes, in these we will see the entire grid that is open in each country, be careful because some countries are beginning to encode these channels as well.

In satellite TV systems, the channels reach us by installing a satellite antenna on the roof of the bus and installing the corresponding satellite receiver based on the DVB-S/S2 standard.

In these receivers we can capture the signal whether it is encrypted or not, there are many channels that broadcast encrypted to make us pay for the platform and these channels, which is normal since it is their business.

This is corrected by installing a decoder of said platform between the antenna and the monitor exactly as we would do at home.

Currently there are not many models of satellite antennas for buses on the market, and most that exist are high-profile, so they are easily damaged when the bus enters washing tunnels, for example. Azimut is one of the world's pioneering companies in the development of low-profile satellite antennas for mobility vehicles. Azimut's FlatSat antenna has a height of just over 20cm, so it is optimal for installation on the upper exterior of vehicles such as buses, without the danger of it being damaged when the bus passes through a place that is limited in height. .

Azimut's FlatSat is configured to receive one or several satellites at the same time and never lose them along the route, for this reason they have a rotary joint and 3 elevation axes so that with the movement of the bus and by means of a gyroscope the lose signal. In addition, it offers an automatic LNB skew.

So we can enjoy the grid of channels that we want , from the most viewed, pay channels, etc… throughout the trip.

The investment to equip a bus, and watch live television on the central monitors, is a satellite dish or a dvbt receiver and/or a decoder if they are pay channels.

There are three options for passengers to enjoy live television:

1. On central bus monitors 2. On boarded screens, installed in the back of the seats 3. On passenger devices

The individual options (2 and 3), allow each passenger to enjoy the channels that interest them in a particular way.
At azimut we can help you select the channels that may interest you the most based on the profile of the passengers, type of route, duration, countries through which it passes, etc… We put at your disposal various communication elements to inform passengers of the available on-board services, the TV channels and even the channel programming grid.

Live television , more watched content with less investment, passenger like at home, satisfied passenger.
