The importance of WiFi as added value for the passenger

The need to always be connected is increasing and this can be seen in the steady increase in data network orders and smartphone and tablet purchases.

Why is WiFi so important? Because today everything is online. Thanks to our Internet connection, we are connected to the rest of the world: our contacts, our social networks, our places to shop, our emails, etc. The world is so dependent on the Internet that we even do traditional things over the Internet.

Considering these scenarios, the importance that users give to Internet service is obvious; we really demand and use it. A good example is the hotels, the majority of them offer WiFi, which is used by most of the guests. It is unimaginable nowadays that a hotel does not offer WiFi service. It's just part of it, like hot water or air conditioning.

In the bus sector, something similar to what is happening in hotels is happening with WiFi. WiFi in this sector is even more important due to the following two points:

• The passenger spends a certain amount of time in the vehicle, so it also represents, among other things, an entertainment system on board.
• Due to the complexity of moving communication, smartphones and tablets are easy to lose connection or stable signals, and thus users feel the browsing experience is unsatisfactory. A WiFi system specific to mobility significantly improves this point and thus also the satisfaction of the user.

Many buses already have this specific WiFi system on board. This is just the result of the increasing demand for Wifi on both national and European bus journeys.
